Students in the Own Your Future program received mentorship from a network of exceptional design leaders, entrepreneurship experts, and technology developers. They learned how to make and market creative work, commit to community outreach, and receive training that uniquely prepares them for the creative economy.
As part of students' participation in the Own Your Future program, they worked with community clients such as NYC's chapter of NOW (National Organization for Women) and BCAT TV to create print campaigns that would be shown throughout New York City.
OYF students, interviewed their clients, created multiple rounds of visual solutions, workshopped their proposals with Karen Ingram (McCann Advertising), and eventually presented their work for final approval to the organizations.
